Volker Durre is Creative Director of Durre Design, a Los Angeles based graphic design firm. Incorporated in 2007, the company that serves clients in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. In the past he worked with some excellent design teams, among them Najbrt & Lev in Prague, the MTA in Los Angeles and AdamsMorioka in Beverly Hills, where he designed and directed projects for Adobe, Nickelodeon, Gehry Partners and GAP. Born in Germany, Volker’s interest in graphic design and typography sparked in high school. He studied for two years at Art Center College of Design in Switzerland and two years at Art Center in Pasadena before graduating there. Volker is past board member of the AIGA Los Angeles where he headed the web site committee. He also taught Typography and Corporate Identity Design at Otis College of Art and Design and California Insitute of the Arts (CalArts).
Gina Durre studied at Art Center College of Design from which she graduated in 1998. While maintaining her own clientele through the years, she has also been working with numerous well-known design companies in the Los Angeles area, among them Intersection Studio and Studio Wilks. In the summer of 2007 she and her husband Volker Durre incorporate Durre Design, a graphic design company whose clients include Sundance, Warner Bros., Mattel, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Johnson & Johnson and California Community Foundation. Gina directs the entertainment industry and consumer products accounts at the firm, and is actively involved in projects that utilize her extensive knowledge in print, packaging and identity design.
